OLV reported yesterday/today’s location as 1111 S Broadway so I decided to go for it and expected nothing and should have brought fresh food and water because two British fans I met (Karen and Tom) and I were on the sidewalk starting at about 8:15PM and stood there for about four hours. Between the hunger and the pain of standing, I was not comfortable while we basically looked at nothing but some security guards and people setting up lights. We saw Penny at one point but crew members only asked who we were waiting for and the location manager encouraged us to go to the clubs. But then a wonderful man named Richard tipped us off that we were on the WRONG SIDE of the building. It hadn’t occurred to me at all considering the fencing and how things were set up within viewing distance. Extras had been near us early in the evening. So we went down a block and along Hill Street found a larger group of fans that had been there even longer than us. The setting was basically a parking garage that no longer had a roof. I don’t know what happened before we got there, only that one person in that group kept saying, “HOLY SPOILER ALERT!” At least the whole group was kind enough not to tell us what they’d seen.
As for what I got to see…dude, I barely want to use my spoiler tag because there’s so little to say. Castle and Beckett drove up to meet with Ryan and Espo in a parking garage. At one point they took a break and the cars were reversed and they did it again.
Two things of interest:
1. There was a BTS photo earlier in the season where Nathan wasn’t wearing his vest, but it was easy to assume he just wasn’t wearing it before filming started. Nope. Of the four, he was the only one without a vest during filming tonight, too. He had on a dress shirt and blazer. No idea what happened to the writer vest but BRING IT BACK NOW.
2. Stana was wearing her own red scarf over the police vest before filming resumed. I loved that. (Photos 2 and 3.)
They wrapped about 2AM and Stana took off her vest and hugged some people. My one cast encounter was exchanging goodnights with Jon after they wrapped. I heard that Jon, Seamus and Penny had greeted fans in the 7 o’clock hour. Richard the crew member struck again with generosity by giving me a bottle of water about 2:15AM. He is my hero of the night. The end.
